I chose the name Plague of Grackles in order to represent something unique, but also ubiquitous. Every single bird, like each snowflake or maple leaf, is unique, even though it doesn’t necessarily stand out in a crowd.
There’s something oddly beautiful about that.
Likewise, every sound around us is different from all other sounds, but they all get somewhat lost in the swirl of noise, tone, rhythm, melody, percussion and whatnot all about us every day.
Have you ever stopped to pick up a leaf and really look at it? Notice how the veins flow, and how the edges have exquisite detail?
When you take the time to study each of the pieces of music I create, hopefully you will be rewarded with the details and eccentricities they share.
Or you might just not like this kind of noise.
Respect.
